It has been a concern for instructors that ChatGPT increases student cheating, but cheating is not new. While much discussion has been devoted to methods of detecting and preventing students from using ChatGPT to write papers, a more constructive view might be to look for ways that ChatGPT can be used to augment instruction and improve student learning.
